Every other month I arrange an event for web developers in the greater Stockholm area with help of friends and colleagues. This is the 3rd time the Stockholm Web Monkeys event has been hosted at Fi’s office in the heart of Stockholm city. As always, all seats were filled in matter of hours and the waiting list was growing rapidly. It’s really great to see that developers are so eager to engage with their peers!
At this event we had 3 topics lined up, covering an in depth understanding of the possibilities and advantages of node.js, a presentation by our UX Lead in Fi Stockholm on how to approach user experience from a developers perspective. And last but not least, we had an open forum discussion on HTML5 run by the Swedish Mozilla evangelist Robert Nyman. It was a great opportunity to share tips and tricks on the latest and greatest in this fast-moving area.
For me and all my colleagues at Fi it’s extremely important to stay on top of new technology. The Stockholm Web Monkeys events help me, and all the people attending, to spread our hard-earned knowledge and grow to the next level.
